Help my Hubby.

Below is a support letter that Caleb wrote...the first support letter he has ever written...you can't understand how huge this is for him to ask for your support. So here are his words...please let us know if you want to get involved.

Hello friends,

I need your help!  No...no....don't stop reading!  Not yet anyway. :)

I am going to be playing in a Mission Discovery Golf tournament in
Nashville on October 9th.  The goal of the tournament is to raise
$65,000 for Mission Discovery.  And every team member needs to raise
$1,200 to play, and that is where you can help!  You see...since I'm
going to be playing...I need to personally raise $1,200.  Well,
obviously, I felt really guilty when I was about to write a check in
the full amount....I thought..."No Caleb....you should let others help
pay for this.....don't rob them of their blessing!". ;)

If you don't know anything about Mission Discovery, they are the
organization that I have been working with for the past 10 years.  It
is a non-denominational Christ centered mission organization that
helps faciliate the construction of houses for the poor all around the
world.  And as a non-profit organization, they completely operate on
the generous donations of people like you!

Every summer since 1997, I've disappeared for about 1-2 months in the
Summer time to go down to Mexico and help lead worship for the groups
that are building houses during the weeks.  I've personally witnessed
the construction of over 500 homes, and I cannot express to you the
joy at the end of the week when the groups dedicate the homes and
offer them as gifts for the families, all in the name of Christ.  To
remind people who have been forgotten by the world, that the living
God is aware of their needs and loves them, is a true blessing for
Aina and myself.

And I cannot think of a group of people with more integrity and
humility than the leadership at Mission Discovery.  I have learned so
much from all of them.

So....here is the pitch. I hate asking for money.  It pains me so
terribly.  I'm not sure what it is inside of me that finds it so
abrasive...but I'm going to do it anyway.  Asking one of my dear
friends on how I should approach it....I was told I should ask in the
following way:

How much money do you have?  And can I have all of it?

So can I?

If you get the feeling that you would like to donate some money to
this worthy cause....I would love for you to as well!

All you need to do is just e-mail me back...and let me know how much
you would like to give (And your physical address if I don't already
have it).  Then following the tournament, you'll receive an invoice in
the mail from Mission Discovery, where you can pay by cash, check, or
credit card.  And all donations ARE TAX DEDUCTABLE.

You can donate on a per hole basis too if you wanted!  Maybe $1 per
hole....or $5 per hole. I guess there is always a chance I won't make
it throught the entire 18 holes.  I am prone to injuring myself.  Make
it fun! :)

And as you are writing your check....you can think of me on the 12th
hole quitely setting up for my approach shot onto the green, and then
quickly shanking it into tree killing a small bird.  A dove maybe.
Peace.

Thanks,
Caleb Carruth
