Possibly the craziest most fun party I've been
to...Ella's early birthday and good bye party
featured a petting zoo. Not to be confused with
animals in individual cages...no, they were set up in
the backyard and were milling around all intermixed
while crazy kids fed them and milled around equally
as unpredictable. I'm talking about goats, piglets,
bunnies, chicks...pure fun if you are a kid...pure
germ haven if you are Caleb. Ella got a "bonky" in
the first minute...she had a run in with a rabbit who
left it's mark. I am still putting band-aids on her
arm.

My heart is so full I do not even know where to start
writing...I have kind of transitioned unintentionally
to a picture blog over the summer. Not sure why...but
I plan on changing that soon. I was talking with my 2
year old (almost 3) niece, Ella, today. I was trying
to explain that I love her so much it hurts. "I hurt
you" she said..no, that's not what I meant. It's a
good hurt. What? Don't get abstract on a 3 year old.
Anyway, not working well with words at the moment.
Hope to remedy this ailment soon!

We just got back from a wonderful time in Cali
(a.k.a. the LBC). We got to spend a week with Diana,
Scott, Ella, & Beckett...plus my mom’s side of
the family. Some of the highlights...Seal Beach,
In-N-Out Burger, Ferris Wheel, Carousel, Pinkberry,
Disneyland, Disneyland minus babies, Coldplay
concert, best weather in the world, family...
Arrival. That’s right- 9 bags total.
