Mexico Highlights.

Just wanted to keep you in the loop with our trip highlights. We feel so blessed to get to work with Mission Discovery and to get to raise Charlotte serving in a ministry that serves the poor. We pray we can begin to instill in her compassion and love.

Best new song.

Here's a clip of my new favorite song...you haven't pre-ordered the new Coldplay album on iTunes it's not too late!

VIVA LA VIDA

I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sweep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own
I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes
Listen as the crowd would sing:
"Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!"
One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of sand, pillars of sand
I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword, and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
Once you go there was never, never an honest word
That was when I ruled the world
It was the wicked and wild wind
Blew down the doors to let me in.
Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People couldn't believe what I'd become
Revolutionaries wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Oh, who would ever want to be king?
I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword, and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter will call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world
(Ohhhhh Ohhh Ohhh)
I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword, and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter will call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world
Oooooh Oooooh Oooooh

Off with her hair!

I just got 10 inches chopped off my hair for Locks of Love. This is the second time that I have done this...and it is great. I highly recommend it. You know, people say, that is so cool that you did that...and it is cool that you can help in such a simple way. I mean, what is it for me to grow my hair out? Do I have to put effort into it? Not really, it just happens (yes, I know there is more science to it than that). Not a big deal for me to cut it off,so I don't want to pretend like it is a sacrifice. I just want to encourage you to consider it if you haven't before.

After

P.S. I got my hair cut in my kitchen, which was cool. Thanks Nash. Not cool, holding that pony tail of hair...it feel like a lost appendage, but it was totally worth it.

Mr. Mom

mr_mom

It's been a while since I've posted. I have been crazy busy since I went back to work to finish out the school year...and who you ask was taking care of Charlotte? Well, her daddy of course. Caleb is awesome with her and took care of her every need for 2 weeks while I was at work. I think it's pretty rare to find a man that is so natural with newborns...I mean, Charlotte's diaper was the first diaper that he had every changed in his life! So, yes, it is surprising that he is so amazing. Caleb's a natural and I had no worries. Now, he is in Mexico and our moms are picking up the slack. Thank God for family!
